Leadership Studies Minor

Leadership Studies Minor is designed as an interdisciplinary course of study to complement a wide range of academic majors. Leadership Studies exposes students to the theory and practice of leadership across interdisciplinary boundaries to better prepare for professional and personal success. Students will study diverse theories and perspectives on leadership, examine the interplay of social justice and ethics in the practice of leadership, and develop a deeper understanding of contextual influences on leadership in an increasingly complex and global society. An emphasis is placed on cultivating critical self-reflection as well as analytical skills to enhance the application of the students' evolving conceptualizations of leadership in organizational and career contexts. Students will engage in an exciting internship experience and also have the opportunity to study abroad at Loyola's John Felice Rome Center. Leadership Studies courses are delivered online, hybrid, and also on-site at the Rome Center for a two-week immersive study abroad opportunity every summer.
